Appleby & Shaw was founded by Wendy Farlow, the doors opened to our customers in 2009. We have grown over the years to be the boutique thatʼs known to be full of fantastic independent brands, where your sure to find that something special and unique that you canʼt find on the high street.

Our boutique in Church Stretton stocks high quality ladies & childrens clothing and accessories, trading off two floors with the majority of ladies being on the first floor. Although we do have a changing room on the lower floor and we’re more than willing to bring ladies clothing to the ground floor if ladies prefer or are less able (due to the structure of the old building a lift was not possible).

We pride ourselves in offering an honest, personal service. We can suggest a piece of jewellery or a scarf to compliment 5n existing outfit, we can assist with a single item of clothing or offer a top to toe dressing service, whether this be for a special event, a wedding, or an everyday outfit. This may include footwear, hosiery, dresses, jewellery, hats, fascinators and more.

The personal dressing service may be to mix and match your wardrobe of day, work and evening events.

Did you know? Our name originates from Wendyʼs grandparents from her motherʼs side, her motherʼs father being Raymond Appleby and her mother being Alice Shaw . There are pictures of ancestors within the boutique.
